Thank you, Lester Black, Tim Keck, and Laurie Saito for sharing this news. All the best to all of you at your new Stranger location in Chinatown.

2

Good luck at your new location!

3

Colonizing the ID and driving up rents for those other papers, good job Stranger

4

Great for lunches!

5

welcome to the hood comrades. don’t fuck it up.

6

You'll be closer to Chez Vel-DuRay!

Just call before coming over, OK?

7

Pretty soon you'll be in Kent, and you can try some of the epic food there is there!

P.S.: There is a streetcar.

8

Oh, that's awesome. Plus, Nipper won't have to ride his bike up that hill anymore!

9

After living in the ID for two decades, it looks like years of skyrocketing rent costs finally pushed me out in just the nick of time. Enjoy your new 'hood, and don't forget your pepper spray if you get stuck working until late at night.

10

White settler colonialism knows no limits.

11

Awesome! The ID rules

12

Well, you’ll be a lot closer to Noodles and Beef. The next time he kills somebody, you won’t have to walk very far to find his apartment.

13

You'll love the ID.
A real neighborhood at last!
and yes to what @5 said!

14

Well,well...after 28 years you are officially off capital hill. I've been wanting you outta capital hill as revenge for something you posted secretly. Welcome to my Favorite area of seattle! My father knew Ruby Chow when he was alive too. You are going to love the I.D. as i call it. The I.D. has tons of culture and history, resturants and is near EVERYTHING that is a bus ride away. I frequent it a lot too.

15

This must be the good kind of gentrification.

16

Let's, just see how productive you are after your Dim Sum lunch fix.:)

17

Greatly adding to gentrification of the ID. Thanks a lot guys!

18

The Stranger is heading into this new decade with a new perch from which to make fun of our city.

C'mon Lester

19

All these people bemoaning the "gentrification" of the ID are a little late to the game. That boat sailed when Vulcan redevloped Union Station's yards, and they rebuilt Uwajimaya.

21

"It’s like the coolest section of town."

Did that sentiment ever appear in The Stranger in the past 20 years?

22

Thanks for proving that you're just another group of white liberals who talk a game (I was going to say a good game, but, well) and then do all the things you rail against. There is good reporting in the ID. No mention of that. There is good community in our area. No, you're coming here to save us. Fuck you.

24

Man I made the joke about gentrifying the ID as a joke, didn't eclectic so many people to agree.

You're 25 years too late
They're renting
