Most dancers are honest, considerate, talented people making some extra money for their families, preferring a less-than-forty-hour work week to have the time to pursue artistic interests, or simply people who love to dance, nude or clothed. They are subject to the worst kind of stereotyping, which plays into some people's feeling they can be abused or exploited without consequence. Now, the erotic dance business is difficult, and clubs stay open during a lot of downtime hours. They don't necessarily make all that much money, and many of the owners' concerns are valid. But retaliation is never okay. Never. Negotiate, voice valid concerns about loss of business and legal issues, make clear to people that it's a tough business, and that owners need respect, too. Absolutely. But no retaliation. The dancers deserve better than that, and fair, balanced solutions are reachable. Most clubs do far more good than harm, and the stereotypes are harmful and often hypocritical. So, here's to both the dancers and club owners--but retaliation is never okay.

@4. Yup. Sounds about right. Whine, moan, and groan but when meetings are in order, they aren't even bothered to get off their fat asses to attend. You are not oppressed. Slavery is over. Don't like your job? Go do something else.
