Religion is a disease that spreads diseases.

He's 5'7" and wears a size 14 shoe?
God, the guy must be hung like a horse.
No wonder The Enquirer didn't release the dick pics.

3

@ 2
trump said hands are the indicator, not feet. The Enquirer wasn't that interested in the pics to begin with, it only acted on orders to force Bezos to weigh in on the Washington Post, which he owns, for a more favorable coverage of prez. Amazon was overlooked by the pentagon in favor of Microsoft because he didn't cave in.
This is how our mafiocracy works nowadays.

FYI, at the same time USC is offering more students free tuition, they’re telling campus workers (currently in contract negotiations) that they have no money to give them raises or give full-time workers 40hr/wk schedules.

Geeks: Is your code ready for leap day?

Another day in America: man murders wife and then kills himself. Child gives birth to child in bathtub because relative raped her over 100 times and other relatives never took her for medical care, not while being raped repeatedly and not while pregnant and then had her give birth in a bathtub, took the INFANT to a hospital and lied about where it came from, and the commentary on the morning's news here focuses on how big Jeff Bezos' feet and dick are.

8

Oh and I forgot the man shot 84 times by the cops for not getting out of the car. Yeah.

9

@7: Well, what do you expect? Hundreds of comments about how tragic everything is? It's not
"America", it's human nature to want to move on to more "interesting" topics than obvious tragedy.

11

Maybe they are vanity sizing shoes now like they are vanity sizing clothing.

So a guy can go buy "size 34" pants for his 44 inch waist, and "size 14" shoes for his size 9 feet.

@7: Does it make you angry that other people actually have joy in their lives? Because you seem kind of angry that other people are not humorless old cranks like you.

12

8
he wasn't shot 84 times, there were 84 casings.
after watching a few released videos of Seattle's finest firing their weapons we'd say the guy was probably lucky if they winged him a couple of times.
someone probably had to bludgeon him to death with a tire iron to put him out of his misery.

13

@11 if having joy in one's life equals caring about Jeff Bezos's shoe and dick size, I'll pass. I have joy in my life. That joy is not found in reading the morning news (ever single day it's a horror show, a sick shit show) oh and your opinion of me has nothing to do with the reality of me.

14

@13: Yet, here you are every single day. Reading the morning news, talking about Bezos' dick and shoes, and whining about how everyone is reading the morning news and talking about Bezos' dick and shoe size.

Also, aren't you the nut who is always going on about your weird violent revenge fantasies?

15

Xina
What’s the news? To many voters the only two issues that really matter are making abortions illegal while maintaining free access to guns. Healthcare, equal rights, rule of law, ethics, reasonable foreign policy and the like are only abstracts made to appease entitled coastal librals.

17

@3
Mafiocracy suns things up pretty well!
Just wait until Trump gets re-elected. You think his Cabinet is slimy now - just wait.

18

@14 yeah I read the news. And no, you are referring to the troll who is always going on about my supposed violent revenge fantasies (in response to a comment I posted once a long time ago, taken out of context by said troll, oh is that you?), but nice try.

@15 facts matter and everyone cares about health care (and something you left out, the money they make/the economy/jobs and the ability to make a living/etc.). and since progress has been made on all other fronts you mention in the last 200 years of this country's existence, more people care about the other things you mention than don't.

20

@16: Hmm, hard to parse that but just in case the suicide hotline is 1-800-273-8255.

21

I hope you're right as I was being sarcastic. Sadly though, such voters do exist.

23

@18

25

@19
We can make police work as well as our own lives so much safer by limiting guns sales and implementing mandatory thorough background checks.

26

Well I accept being chastened by xina and you make a good point I guess.
I just find the serious news to be too dismal to comment on.
Besides, a part of me wishes that perhaps Bezos gets rattled at this rampant speculation and it feeds his sexual insecurities - thereby in some small measure we are contributing to slowing down the Amazon juggernaut. He has already made somewhat of a spectacle of himself and some shareholders are nervous.
I think it is quite possible that the long-term continued success of Amazon is in a more parlous state than most folks imagine and it could be the first of the big tech giants to implode.
I mean ten years ago, who would have imagined Boeing to be in their current crippled condition?

27

@22: Whew, I took it that St. Peter just approved your request to be promoted to Heaven.

28

@18: Ah, so it is you with the deranged revenge fantasies. Thanks for confirming.

30

@ 28
Which also means that your trollism has been confirmed.

@ 29
All you're saying is that it's too late now, and sadly you may have a point. Back in the days it may have made some sense as the only weapons that did exist were guns, so owning one could offer some sense of counterbalance. Nowadays it’s more like a constitutional perversion.
Trump is not threatened by gun owners. He will not hesitate to send a cruise missile on political opponents nor having the Enquirer attempting to blackmail Jeff Bezos.

31

@28: Jesus Christ Teddy must you ALWAYS run quite so true to form? Just leave xina the fuck alone and try not being such an unmitigated asshole for a hot minute.

32

@29,

I doubt your doubt. Roughly 43% of Americans own guns. Close to 100% of Americans are eligible to own guns and would have no problem obtaining one if sought. A much, MUCH higher percentage of those folks who seek illegal drugs or tobacco obtain them.

Common sense gun laws certainly wouldn't be a panacea to solve the problem, but should be employed along with other sensible measures (such as that oft-linked data driven analysis you're always linking to!)

33

@32 - how about a mandatory 20-year sentence if you use a gun in a crime? Any crime. Point it, shoot it, just tell the bank teller you have it, doesn't matter. Off you go. Felon in possession of a gun? Automatic 10. No bargaining the charge away. Universal background checks. And no magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

37

@36
Verify, please?
Thanks!

38

@36: hyperbole mother fucker. Do you speak it?

Please wait...
