Yes, because only the 1% can afford Netflix's basic monthly fee of nine bucks.

@1 -- Wow. You missed the entire point. Allow me an analogy:

Imagine it is 1905, and you are living in a small city. There is only one newspaper, owned by a very rich person, with selfish goals. It is a decent paper overall, with real news, funny comics, and the like. But everything has a slant geared towards serving that owner. Your comment is basically like saying "Yes, because only the 1% can afford to pay the 2 cents it costs to read the Dearborn Independent". The cost isn't the issue; it is the content.

Do you understand now, or should I break out the puppets?

Puppets, please.

Thanks for this, Jasymne!
Def worth a Look.

Oh, and there's also (FREE) Democracy Now!, not a network, merely an Awesome NON-corporate one hour show with geat guests, for those of us with a Leftist bent.

I watched about half of the "Extraction Capitalism with the Trillbillies". Excellent but jezuz so depressing. Basically, regardless of the political party in the WH, we are all hopelessly screwed by greed and ignorance. Humanity is a virus. We invade a planet, consume its resources and move on. Like a Star Trek episode. Accept your fate. We're utterly fucked and so is this planet. But I admire those trying to make a difference. It doesn't matter but I admire the effort.

"Means TV seeks to promote filmmakers and creators who make media that explores the effects of capitalism on modern society and lights a way for an alternative future."

Sounds like it'll be very popular with 5 or 10 Poli Sci students on every college campus.
