Why isn't the state going after the illegal dispensaries? It seems pretty easy to find them (just check Weedmaps).

2

@1 Why not both?

So if I use Google to find a massage practitioner near me and end up at a $60 happy ending parlor, would Google be charged for facilitating that transaction? Weedmaps is a listing tool, not an unlicensed purveyor. The government wants Weedmaps to do its job of enforcing regulations.

@2 - No legal cannabis state wants to draw the attention of the Feds, and I agree with @1 that California and the legal dispensaries need to redouble their efforts to crack down on ALL illicit sales activity, whether it is from a store front or garage or street corner. One of the best arguments for legalization is the elimination of the black market. We are getting closer to widespread legalization - lets keep the momentum up by supporting legal dispensaries.

@5 Exactly right.

You need to understand that unregulated and illegal means Medical Marijuana Pot Shops. This is just an underhanded move to close down the Medical Marijuana shops just like we did in Washington.

It was an incredible disservice to the community and our market has not recovered (in the sense we do not sell the same products you could get in the med market). The Ice Wax / Hashish (for example) market in Seattle has started to pickup but compared to other states it makes us look like a fool.

If you don't think our Recreational Market is screwed up then you either don't shop there or you don't pay attention to how old your product is. You should not have to pay top dollar for a year and a half old weed. But as the stores cannot sell it back to the grower to be processed as concentrates; you get what you get. Which if you go on the black market today you can find it cheaper.

I mean ffs I paid 12$ a gram for weed; at least 40% of that (and more) is pure taxes This is honestly what disgusts me the most about Recreational Marijuana.... How we tried to get rid of low level dealers in favor of a pot shop owned by millionaires in an restricted environment where you cannot just get a license tomorrow easily and start making your own... I mean .. !!.. our govenor gives a crap about how much we smoke and how much money he makes; that's really ,,!!,, up

Personally I want the ability to grow recreation ally so I can stop spending upwards of 2k of my income a month on weed. I spent less when I shopped on the ,,!!,, black market

Give me my Freedom or give me a republican who I can vote in as Governor who will give me the right to grow so I can stop throwing away money that I need to fix my tires and other things. I am sick of Inslee and I am sick of these cowardly democrats

Um, any Republican governor worth his (or hers) Ideological salt will toss your ass into Jail for possessing/consuming/enjoying/endorsing the Evil Weed.

Be Very careful what you wish for.
