Staten Island
And, no, Anazon retail or factory work doesn't look real appetizing right now.

@1 What? You're not willing to die so Amazon can make $10,000 a second during the pandemic? Too bad Amazon doesn't require pick and pack from it's own customers at the nearest fulfillment center. Then all of the assholes ordering shit online could risk their own lives!

4

And already it’s time for the coronavirus task force to file for Chapter 11. Bankrupted in record time.

5

"Ziyatwelve" is my guess...

As a cactus fancier, I'd like to point out that agave are not cacti. An easy way to differentiate is that all true cacti have spines. Other succulents may have thorns, but never spines.

ICYMI Two armed white men pursued an unarmed black man jogging down a road in Georgia and one fatally shot him. Now a grand jury will decide whether there should be charges against them.

Oh and it was an ex-cop. An ex-cop (so are we surprised nothing is being done?)

I'm assuming Jared Kushner recently opened an industrial black paint company.

"Local Native American health center asked for supplies: To help battle COVID-19. Instead, a distributor through King County Public Health sent them a bunch of body bags."

WOW

We've come
so far so fast
in our dealings with
the Native Americans
it's now down to nothing
but shorthanded Shortcuts.

Kinda surprised
they didn't send
Hallmark instead.

[Back, by Popular Demand]:

“I think the answer is this: for everyone who wants to get out there right now with no mask or gloves, distancing or testing to help beat this thing, then I propose they sign a pandemic version of a DNR — Do Not Resuscitate order.

This would be a COVID-19 DNT — Do Not Treat order. This way, your willful ignorance (or greed) does not put a health care worker, first responder, or their families at risk. Print it, sign it, put it in your wallet and tape it to your front door.

If the impatient, hoax believing, don't stomp my freedom, selfish brats out there want to go do their thing during a dangerous crisis, then do it with the expectation that if you get sick, no one else has to pay the price for your irresponsible behavior. “

Au Contraire, @Garbby
I find el Trumpfo massively
Dusturbing.

24

@13 he was NOT a burglary suspect. He was a black man jogging in his own neighborhood on his own street.

25

AhmaudArbery was murdered by 3 white men that saw him running & decided to impute criminality on him. He did nothing wrong. Still he was stalked, threatened & shot 3x at close range. This was not only murder it was a lynching. Thank you @TheRevAl for standing for this family. pic.twitter.com/QYxGYBwAEK

@8:

Under normal circumstances (i.e. pre-COVID) NY MTA logs more than 5.5 million users per-day. Even with ridership down 95% during the pandemic that's still 275,000 daily trips where MTA workers can be exposed. How many people do you imagine wander aimlessly through a typical AMZN warehouse every day?

28

@24:

I'm not 100% certain - one can rarely tell with KM - but I'm willing to entertain at least a slight possibility he may have been being sarcastic.

29

@28 you mean like Trump, when Trump says he was being sarcastic?

33

@28 -- a duck fart is always a Duck Fart.

34

@32 yes please continue using Michael Brown as an example, you know, he was unarmed and facing the cop who shot him six times, including twice in the head, because said white cop "feared for his life." Michael Brown was accused of robbing a store before this happened, again without a weapon and that robbery has been disputed.

Ahmaud Arbery was wearing running clothes, had NOTHING on him (was not carrying anything so why is he being accused of burglary and he was unarmed). The white supremacist terrorists who shot him are lying their asses off and one of them is an ex-cop, so he's well versed on how to blame the dead black guy for his own murder.

Armed white supremacists militia groups are going to state capitols and threatening to kill governors who have initiated lockdowns due to COVID-19. Not one of these terrorists has been shot, not even when screaming at or attacking officers doing their jobs to stop them.

Stop being part of the problem. Fuck the United States of White Supremacist Terrorism. Stop murdering black people. Stop blaming innocent black people for their own murders.

This has nothing to do with a lack of information and everything to do with the cover up already put in place by an white surpemacist ex-cop and his son and buddy who chose to chase down a black man for jogging and assassinate him.

37

We don't have to look as far away as Ireland or even Texas for illegal haircuts. The Stag Barber and Styling shop in Shohomish has opened to protest the lockdown and been quite busy. It's quite a scene: MAGA hats, no facemasks, and no social distancing whatsoever.

38

@36 seriously? that's some insane stretch of bullshit you got going there.

@39 if you wanna play a game of semantics:

Jeff Bezos’s Net Worth Has Increased by $24 Billion During the Covid-19 Pandemic
https://robbreport.com/lifestyle/news/jeff-bezos-made-24-billion-during-coronavirus-pandemic-2915078/

The founder and boss of Amazon has seen his wealth swell by $24bn (£19bn) after soaring demand for online shopping sent the firm's share price to a new high.
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-52289657

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos—the world's richest man—has added nearly $24 billion to his already massive fortune in 2020 as virus-related lockdowns across the globe have forced people to stay inside and fueled increased e-commerce demand.

Explaining the source of a nearly 5% jump in Bezos' net worth Tuesday, Forbes reported that Amazon stock surged 5.3%, "hitting a new record close of $2,283 per share. The stock is now up over 20% so far this year, outpacing the benchmark index (the S&P 500 is down over 12%)."

Turns out Jeff Bezos has got the biggest coronavirus stimulus of all ... https://t.co/10BrXbnIZ6 — Will Tooke (@willtooketv) April 15, 2020

@41 what authority did the guy have? he's an EX-cop. and why are black people not allowed to fight back when they are assaulted or shot or attacked or otherwise harmed by bat shit insane white supremacists? the shooting was NOT justifiable homicide, not even remotely. the white men saw a black man running, went and got their guns, chased him down, shot and killed him. in what fucking world is that justifiable homicide? your defense of these actions are repugnant. we HAVE heard the gunman's side of the story. he's the ex-cop lying saying the man he shot and killed for existing while black was a burglary suspect.

i get it. you fully support the murder of black people for no reason.

noted.

end of discussion.

43

"elven spelling"? FFS. Stop it.

44

@42 xina, again props to you.

These posters, they're all the same. They attempt to portray themselves as "reasonable", even "nice" people, yet literally every single time without fail, they eventually expose themselves to be the ignorant jerks they are.

It has nothing to do with differing opinions and everything to do with their unwavering allegiance to ignorance, stupidity, lying, cheating, hypocrisy, racism, etc., and basically being unreasonable people. Every single f'ing time without fail.

46

Thanks, xina.
Thanks PiP.

@Duck Fart

There's gotta be you gotta SEE

So, Justice looks like . . . what?

Hard Labor?

Presidential Medal of Freedom?

51

@12 The late Clara Peller must be Up There Somewhere laughing her ass off....
@23 & @33 kristofarian: Agreed and seconded.
@42 xina for the WIN!
@47 kristofarian: Justice would be Trumpty Dumpty, Dencey Pencey, Moscow Mitch McDumbbell, ad nauseum all catching and dying of TRUMPVID-19 while traveling, because they forgot to wear a mask and gloves and touched a black doorknob licked by Jared Kushner.

52

Is it really surprising that the majority of people in the blood red Trumpty Dumpty states and counties are now dropping like flies during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Stupidity is curable--Make America Think Again, and Go, BLUE!.

@49 & @50 Garb Garbler: Agreed and seconded. The world would be a better place.
The biggest irony is that the MAGAs have become so batshit crazy they're killing off each other while protesting their right to drop like flies.

54

@52; Further proof of the futility of red counties /states: Snohomish County Dumbfuck, Adam Fortney should be fired--preferably into outer space.

55

Typically robbers running away either have stolen items or have someone chasing them, neither is apparent in this case.

57

@41 - In the three decades I was a cop I got punched in the head (and everywhere else) many times; in each case, the assailant went to jail unshot. These guys accosted the jogger, not the reverse, and even if he was the assailant, you can only use that level of force necessary to stop the assault. There's 2 (or 3?) dudes there, and they can't restrain him without killing him? Uh-Huh...

He was defending himself from 3 random and aggressive white guys with guns. Neighbors have security cam video of this guy jogging every day where he was, and others say they always saw him out jogging. If you were out jogging, and 3 rednecks with guns physically accosted you, how would you react? In your case make it 3 black men with guns. No worries for you?

Xina is right. The fact that the DA is cozy with the ex-cop shooter is why he's not cooling his heels in jail on a pre-trial hold...unless he's got the money to bond out. You would be if it were you. The good ol' boy network is strong in these backwoods southern towns.

60

Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed in February. It's now MAY.

Meanwhile
3 people are being charged with first degree, premeditated murder in Michigan for shooting a security guard at a Dollar General the other day.

Who are the 3 people who shot and killed the security guard?
3 black people:

1- woman who refused to wear a mask when asked to do so and went into the store with her daughter and called the two men, told them to bring their guns, and they shot and killed the security guard, a black man.
2- the men have yet to be caught and are considered armed and dangerous

there was no months of waiting
there was no DA kicking it to a grand jury months later
IMMEDIATE CHARGES OF FIRST DEGREE PREMEDITATED MURDER.

Circumstances are the same - 3 people grabbed their guns and hunted down another human being and murdered that person in cold blood.

https://www.abc12.com/content/news/3-charged-with-murder-of-Family-Dollar-security-guard-over-face-mask-dispute-570178991.html

But you know, it's all in the color of your skin, who you know, and where you live.

61

We really need a vaccine for TRUMPVID-19, STAT.

63

@11xina -- I think one of the all-White death trio/mini lynch gang had the Foresight to capture it on Video.

Gotta wonder if he shared it...
