The Lt. Governor position might be slightly more interesting this year.
If Biden manages to win and becomes president, then Inslee would likely be on the short list for a cabinet position. Like EPA, or climate czar or something. If that happens, then the Lt. Governor would become governor, at least for a while (assuming Inslee coasts to a win as governor). My understanding is that if the Governor vacates for any reason (like taking a cabinet position), then the Lt. Governor takes office, and a special election would take place to replace him/her at the next general election. So in this scenario the Lt. Governor would be governor till at least next November's election is certified.
My guess is that there is more than a 50/50 chance this will happen. So I'll be paying a bit more attention to Lt. Governor this year than I usually do. Most of the time it is almost a throwaway job that almost nobody pays any attention to. This year? Maybe not.
Lt. Gov. Habib has not "left the office for the cloth earlier this year". He's still very much in that office, and is not running for reelection.
Beth Doglio is still a State Representative - no "former" needed, Rich. Rep. Pettigrew has also not left his office - he is still a State Rep. Again - he simply isn't filing for reelection.
