The best way to experience the nature of our old growth forests is night running by moonlight. I used to do that as a small child amongst the redwoods.
Sometimes I wore shoes, but mostly I didn't.
It helps if you have good night vision and a sense of smell and hearing, so I wouldn't recommend it for those suffering from COVID.
Oh, and forest bathing - as depicted by those on social media videos - is not a thing. That's called "being a poser".
If you can't run in the deep forest in the night, you probably shouldn't be there in the first place.
And, yes, those ARE cat eyes reflecting the moonlight at you.
