The city’s response has been a mess. They absolutely made things worse yesterday. Tonight police have been pushing protesters all over town, and many of them have no way home because of this poorly implemented curfew... meanwhile, grocery stores miles away from any protests all closed at 5pm today. Yes, I’m hangry, i didn’t make it to the store in time today. You’re honestly going to stand up there and act like the police response was appropriate? Maxing children? Blocking peaceful protesters and launching tear gas at them, while leaving a vehicle parked right in the middle of those protesters you were antagonizing? Why were there AR-15s left unsecured in the vehicle? Why were they brought to the protest to begin with!?! Sure, I toooootally believe all those at fault were white guys with backpacks... and small children, watch out for those! They have sharp little nails, better use the pepper spray!

The city should decertify the union, and make everybody at SPD reapply for their job. Part of the process should be a mental health evaluation and a deep background check. If they pass, They get their job back. If not, they’re out.

I'm just happy we're no longer being force fed the narrative of how COVID19 is going to kill us all. Not sure how long we'll get this respite, but these protests will fizzle out just like they always do. Younger people just don't have the attention spans to really effect lasting social change.
