re: Matt Shea... "He then blamed Democrats for blowing up the issue in a purely political effort to divide Republicans, suggested the matter would have been better handled "behind closed doors..."
I'd honestly assumed Dems blew up the issue for yuks and to make fun of a gullible, dip-shitted imbecile, though if our leadership is finally employing strategic measures such as these, more power to 'em!
There's a long list of reasons not to vote for Joshua Freed, but owning 28 guns is not very high on the list.
A lot of Democratic or Democratic-leaning voters are recreational hunters. I used to be among them.
Now I know that 28 guns sounds like nut-case territory, but it is really not. Just for the purposes of birding, a guy might have 4 or 5 different types of shotguns for different applications, different styles of hunting.
and then for game hunting, same principle- small game, large game, different types of terrain, undergrowth, etc.
Then add in a few guns that are simply there for sentimental value, my first gun, my father's deer rifle, etc. In no time at all you are into double digits and then your gun ownership hobby, independent of its hunting applications, takes on a momentum of its own.
At this point it's absolutely clear that republicans aren't for fiscal responsibility, they're really for corporate socialism. They've abandoned ethics and morals too in backing Trump so what's left for them as a party, a platform of I'll Get Mine, To Hell With Everybody Else?
I do have to agree with @5 that 28 really isn't that many especially if you hunt. Different guns for different things. I mean I personally own three. The other thing is if you are a gun owner guns tend to find you. You inherit them from relatives or friends who end up not wanting them for what ever reason. And god HELP you of you get into any kind of competitive shooting. Cowboy action shooting for example requires no less than four different weapons not to mention the cosplay aspect of it.
My dad owned just under 100 guns. Almost all were civil war or revolutionary war era muskets, but still guns nonetheless. Nobody ever would have taken him for a lunatic. Some people just like collecting funky shit.
The same shitbird rag that had nothing to say about groups of men with AR-15s hanging out by the barricades right outside their office for three weeks is now complaining about somebody owning too many guns. Ok.
@11 why are you shitlibs so obsessed with the size of other men's dicks?Do you not have ones of your own?
Great post. Sad to see that the Repub party here is in such shambles. Or is it? If they get serious, it's likely that Repub support will coalesce around Fortunato for his experience, or Eyman for his name-recognition. The latter option would be a big boost to Dems, as would Freed.
East of the mountains the only political signs I see are for Loren Culp, who is some nutcase sheriff over there.
I thought Timmy the chair thief was the Republican's guy, no?

Everyone knows training of child soldiers for holy war is the responsibility of the health care system.
@4 - If guns aren't a political issue, why are they codified in the Constitution and discussed or argued about every day?
Real men hunt with bows and arrows. Guns are for small dicked effete cowards.
@14 Pew pew pew!

@25: Why are you obsessed with bird poop? Wait! Are you a confederate statue?
