“The pandemic will breed porn stars.”

“Economic devastation will force tens of thousands into online sex work.”

Fixed that for you. Stop making this into something sexy. It’s gross.

I drove through downtown Issaquah on Friday afternoon. They close Front Street every weekend to cars so restaurants can expand onto the roadway. Fucking Issaquah is more progressive than Seattle now.

Bamboo Garden is another Covid victim?
Fuck. Fuckedy-fuck.
That hurts.

@2:

Oooh, a tiny Eastside bedroom community shuts down it's ONE MAIN STREET so a half-dozen restaurants in literally a three block span can do business on the weekends. Yeah, that's SOOOO PROGRESSIVE! What next? Maybe they'll turn that big-ass parking lot at Issaquah Commons into an outdoor plaza so's y'all can have your Chipotle and Five Guys and feel sooo sophisticated, like you're in Europe, amiright?

So Washington State will take longer to recover, or at least improve from a depression to a recession? I've tended to notice that the IT crowd in this area, so far, has been somewhat unscathed by the depression while Boeing and everybody else has been slammed.

With the public sector, we'll have to wait and see if there are massive layoffs. I've known people around here in public sector employment that have remained gainfully employed throughout the recessions. Maybe this is a different animal. Or the states and localities will find some third party funding issue to keep them employed.

@4: Relax bro. Tell me why Ballard Ave can't do the same?

7

There are two ways that people will exit the pandemic: either dead or alive.

8

Look, Mayor Do Nothing already sold us out and doesn't actually care about Seattle restaurants surviving, so she'll veto anything that helps Seattle, and you know it.
