Holy shit, Einstein had a sex slave island?!? Did he at least offer tutoring services on the side, or was it just pure lurid depravity? This is just harrowing to learn, thanks so much for the heads up!!!

Drown with the patriarchy?
I'll see myself out.

Rich/Chris,
I noticed this caption to the photo at the Evangelical Rally at Cal Anderson:

"Raising your hands in the air is also not an effective way to prevent COVID transmission."

I wonder if raising your fist at CHAZ/CHOP or at the recent demonstrations prevents COVID transmission?:)

"Come for the lectures on quantum theoretical physics; Stay for the blow-jobs and backdoor action!"

11

@9: Bill Gates (but not Bill Clinton) flew back home after the lecture, of course.

12

Einstein was murdered!

13

Two people probably died in the water yesterday. But for some it's an opportunity to be assholes about it and deliver a punchline.

It's been pretty clear for a while that lark2 is a nutjob, so it's good to see confirmation.

14

@1 Oh no, a biweekly Seattle dining circular didn't cover a local DC crime story that didn't even make the front page of the Washington Post.

Cry harder, chud.

I wonder if "Big Al" Einstein would participate in naughty teacher/student role-play scenarios, or if this quickly became overdone and cliche' to him.

Ok, I think I'm done! For now. Thanks as usual to the slog troll, who's free-flowing and ceaseless fountain of stupidity keeps me entertained and coming back here time and again. Long live Strangellingly!

@13 seatackled,
Whoa! Reckon you're drinking too much of the Kool-Aid partner.
Recommend staying sane and safe during COVID.

It's well known that Bill Gates invented Windows 95 while getting a reach around from Einstein on his Sex Slave Island. Bill Nye was also there, quietly watching.

Wake up, sheeple.

I was wondering what was going on yesterday. I kept seeing fire trucks and ambulances rushing down Rainier Avenue from the veranda of Chez Vel-DuRay.

Perhaps no surprise, but the Seattle Times article on unemployment fraud made it sound a lot worse in the first two paragraphs than it actually was. If you read a little further, you see the chart that shows that the 56% fraud numbers were for one week in mid-May, not a cumulative number. Earlier weeks showed much lower levels of fraud and later weeks showed little or no fraud. To reiterate: the vast majority of unemployment money paid out was legitimate.

Just for the trolls: I believe that unemployment fraud is bad and should be minimized and prosecuted. The Times also made this sound much worse than it is.

@20,

Yeah, down here in Portland the agency that runs such matters is also catching freaking hell, but for lengthy delays in processing requests. Pretty sure we've had significantly less fraud, but considerably longer processing times, presumably in an attempt to minimize payouts on fraudulent claims. It's a flawed and imperfect system, but it's also a bizarre and wholly unprecedented situation.

22

Since they made it through the Y2K crisis mostly unscathed, government data processing centers mostly figured now they could coast without further updates till the year 10,000.

23

@22 2038, but close enough.

Daddy dearest, anytime a bunch of bible-addled niitwits get together, nothing good comes of it.
