Now they can add lying to Congress along with interfering with the mail and various violations of conflicts of interest laws to DeJoy's charge sheet.

5

Pretty gutsy of you Charles to stand in front of that car, as, well, you know, crazy people.

A Fox News panel gave rave reviews to Biden's speech:

So, now we've reached the "I know nothing, NOTHING, Colonel Hogan!" stage of the administration...

10

Nobody save for the piglord himself knows whether or not he wanted to win back in 2016. Though I feel confident in stating he was fully expecting to lose, and to use the loss to whine and tweet incessantly about political corruption and the evil of the left-wing machine. And with the benefit of four years worth of hindsight, I'm also confident he desperately wishes he'd lost and been given that opportunity for martyrdom, which is all he ever really wanted out of all this. So he'll be getting his wish, it's just coming four years late and at the expense of tens of thousands of lives and the unraveling of several sacred institutions. Whatever, KAGA, etc.

11

DeJoy isn't lying to convince Democrats. He's lying to stall for time while he helps his boss steal the election.

Trump has already been called out on thousands of lies, all to no consequence whatsoever. The Mueller report and impeachment have produced extensive documentation of malfeasance and perjury. But the most important thing they produced is definitive proof that McConnell's Senate will block any attempt to act on it.

12

"Cost-cutting by destroying labor-saving machines" makes perfect sense, if you don't add more staff to replace the labor of those machines and don't allow overtime for the staff already on hand. This is cackling, mustache-twirling type of shit.

14

I'm seriously doubting that we'll ever see a "Truth Commission" or that anyone from Trump's administration will see the inside of a jail cell after Biden takes office.

Hell, the Bush administration committed actual real-live war crimes after launching a war on a series of lies. Obama didn't prosecute them, or really do anything on that score. Biden is even more bought-in to the DC cult than he was.

We're going be hearing, "The past is the past. We need to look forward," soon. I'm guessing in the inauguration speech, if not the acceptance speech. Justice is only for the rich in the USA.

15

Keep following the money.

Grats to both BC and WA for requiring masks on all ferries, and to BC for imposing large FINES for having more than 5 AirBnB guests in a house or an event with more than 50 people outside - including ADVERTISERS, Promotors, Homeowners, Guests Who Do Not Leave.

Yeah, it's called government. Something we in America have forgotten about, given we live in a Russian vassal colony.

16

That Ben Yisrael speaks truth pretty darn well.

I am tired of this fucking clown show. DeJoy is lying. Everyone knows he is lying. The minute he chose to lie the senate should have SHUT DOWN THE HEARING AND KICKED HIS ASS OUT, REFUSING TO LISTEN TO HIM LIE. Congress has got to stop engaging in this bullshit. DeJoy needs to be removed from his position NOW (actually he never should have been appointed).

Munchkin and Trump need to be brought before the House and if they refuse to appear, impeach them, remove them, and fucking end this shit show. It has gotten so out of control. I am at my wit's end watching our so called representatives indulge these fucking criminals and NOT DOING ANYTHING. Enough with the questions to which answers are all lies. Enough with sitting by and allowing the destruction and damage to be done with no consequences. Enough.

Seriously, if the people who are supposed to be working for the people in this country continue to do nothing we are not going to have anything left.

I watched what I could stomach of Trump being interviewed by a member of the press after his over an hour long jerk off Pennsylvania (which I could not stomach to listen to) last night. EVERY SINGLE THING TRUMP SAID WAS 100% FALSE. And the so-called journalist just stood there and accepted his answers and moved on to the next question. ENOUGH WITH ALLOWING THIS MAN TO PUSH HIS DELUSIONS AND DEMENTED AND DERANGED BULLSHIT OUT INTO THE WORLD WITHOUT PUSH BACK!!!

Not sure I can buy into Putin being willing to risk Russian prestige in spaceflight simply to create a distraction. That type of strategy seems a little oblique for a man like him.
But it is a good question what means he might employ to protect an asset like Trump.
My guess is that he has made the calculation that Trump is no longer worth it, his investment has already paid for itself, and like any smart Don he has decided to cut him loose before he becomes a bigger problem.
Ron Johnson will be waiting in vain for the dossier that never arrives, the campaigns grind to their inexorable conclusion and the election itself seems anticlimactic.
Trump, Barr, Miller, Uday and Qusay, Huckabee, the whole lot of them go scampering back into their rat-holes with very little drama
Well, a guy can dream.

shorter web link titles would be better.

for example, instead of

you could use
slog-am-post-general-lies-biden-tells-truth
short sweet accurate

@18: This clown show is exactly what we need from now until the election. Every unhinged Trump moment helps keep the election from tightening. Last thing we want is for Trump to keep to a script which would give more of his base a reason to stay aboard.

30

@17,

Yeah, Obama's tenure left a lot to be desired, but he catches a ton of undeserved flack from us on the left (and RWNJ's like yourself masquerading as "liberal hippies" for whatever purpose) for circumstances that were beyond his control. There's not a human being on the planet who could've closed Guantanamo given the vast and far reaching obstacles to doing so that existed then and now. He issued an executive order on his third day in office to do just that and attempted several other times during his tenure to take action that would lead to closure, but frustrating political realities reared their ugly head time and again. I will say maybe he shouldn't have been so cavalier in his promises, but it's hard to fault him for being naive of how deeply entrenched obstructionist elements were at the time he was campaigning. This is a short read/listen that goes into just a tiny bit of detail regarding the reality of attempts to relocate detainees.

Exactly! Let him keep talking and hang himself. The RNC is going to be fucking hilarious. Can't wait.

32

@26:

We're not too lazy to vote in-person, we just have no interest in breathing some RWNJ/anti-masker's COVID-infested exhalations while we're doing it, because you can bet dollars to doughnut holes there will be assholes out there who will try to "pwn teh libtards" by coughing all over a polling location in the hopes of shutting it down.

35

@27 Love it when far right trolls keep repeating this dumb trope, because it means the Daily Show can keep running their montages of Trump's Best Words.

36

@18 xina and @32 COMTE for the tied WIN!

@21: Down, Muffy, down.

@25, @26, @27, @28, and @33 Free Dumb Iko: Whoa, lil MAGA troll. Be careful where you step, especially if your butt crack is deeper than the Grand Canyon. Try not to fall into it. You idiots wrote the book on lies, willful misinformation, and paranoia.

37

I know you'd love to be a martyr in the great war against "Car Culture", but probably don't jump out in front of them.

Please wait...
