Oh man, I walk all over this damn town. If I were to stitch my favorite shorter routes together into one long one it would look like: starting at 18th and Cherry, going north to Galer (with a possible side trip over to Volunteer Park, if you're into that), east on Galer to 19th, down the dirt path into the Interlaken woods, emerging at 22nd and Boyer in Montlake. Then east Boyer over to the Arboretum and, if it's been dry enough, from the Arboretum over to Marsh Island. After Marsh Island go under the 520, over the Montlake Bridge and then immediately east on the gravel path along the Montlake cut, back behind the stadium and playing fields over to the Center for Urban Horticulture. Ramble around there, maybe do some birdwatching, check out the view of Mt. Rainier and then head north to meet the Burke-Gilman Trail where it dips down at 36th Ave NE. Now the world's your oyster: head up to Magnuson, or over to Ravenna, or down to Gasworks, or all the way to the Ballard locks. If you want to head back south, take the Burke over to the University bridge and head up 10th, back up along the spine of Capitol Hill. Or get fancy, go over the Fremont bridge and down around Lake Union along the Westlake path.

The burning car seems to be a Lamborghini Countach; which I, as a starry-eyed child in the '80s, was low key obsessed with.
