If anything, there has not been ENOUGH shaming of people going to nightclubs and parties. It is pretty clear that putting a bunch of people indoors in small spaces is the worst thing you can do, and when they are all drinking/shouting/flirting etc the transmission potential is even higher.

Having colleges bring everyone back to campus now is questionable at best. Bring a lot of people from all over the country together and put them in close proximity. What could possibly go wrong? It's kind of like a Sturgis rally for people who can read. But if they decide that they absolutely have to do that, then FFS at least try to minimize the consequences.

Having a bunch of uncontrolled spread at parties, college or otherwise, is going to set recovery for the rest of us way back. How about we just don't???

I'm familiar with this trend since I've lived on Bainbridge Island for forty years now and many say The Rock is just a suburb of The City. The spread of COVID will continue and just get worse and worse as people continue to do whatever they want to do.
