I've been clinging to a tear since November 2016.

I'd urge slog readers to exercise caution before paying for any vaccine being offered at any price this October. Save your money and instead hold out for the esteemed slog commenter Dr Nelson who'll be offering a far more affordable, but every bit as effective herbal variation right here in the slog comments shortly thereafter. Shit, there may even be a more holistic spell-casted form available for those of you who remain skeptical of Western medicine. You'll thank me later.

What Trump means is he will jump the queue and get two doses of the experimental vaccine that will be delivered to first line providers in December/January. There are only 2 million doses for that.

It's all about him. He doesn't care about you.

The results from the experimental vaccine (only 50-60% effective) will be used to tune it to reduce side effects and improve the dosage level and delivery methods, which should result in a 60-80% effective version in mass rollout sometime between March and July (the more inaction by Trump, the longer it takes). But that will take us 12-18 months to roll out (and yes you have to get BOTH of the two shots for it to work).

So, basically, some people will have both shots by Fall 2021, but most people will finish that between Fall 2021 and Fall 2022.

Oh, and you'll need another vaccine round a year later.
