Back in the early 80s ('82-'83 ish), there were wheatpaste posters identical to that 1984 sticker around town. I remember them on the pillars of the monorail in particular.

I remember them as well, although I didn't move here until fall of '85, so perhaps they'd either been around for awhile, or else they were regularly re-posted.

The "shut the fuck up" stickers are a parody of the "be the light" stickers by @mikuseattle (on IG), and I'm pretty sure miku knows who's responsible for them. You could try sending him a DM asking for more info, maybe?
