Wonder why they aren't disclosing the breed of the dog that was abused. That's a Samoyed if I've ever seen one.

God, those Mercer Islanders!
Stay far away from Mercer Island!

My favorite Stranger cover will forever be the one with the large pic of state legislator Mark Hargrove (I had to look it up) captioned with the headline "Meet Washington's Dumbest Legislator!" It was right after the dude had come out against a soon to be passed gay marriage proposal, and the accompanying article focused on his going on the record and talking about how a Jack-in-the-Box commercial for fast food hamburgers convinced him to oppose civil rights legislation. The picture of him was so great, he has this totally ridiculous Alfred E Newman-esque half "smile" on his face that paired so beautifully with the text, and it was zoomed in just right so as to perfectly capture the buffoonish-ness of the man. And I remember they promoted the fuck outta that piece, such that every time you brought up the slog you were greeted by a full screen sized image of his dim-witted mug. I can't find an archive of their covers and the pic is easy enough to find via google, but doesn't do the overall piece justice.

An awesome Slog PM by Chase Burns.

Is it wrong for me to be concerned that Linda Thomas-Greenfield has awful grammar?

@2: Animal cruelty is not exclusive to a demographic.

How are "we" supposed to turn this car around when inslee is the one driving? Maybe stop and ask for directions because we've been going down the same road for a long time.

@3:

Be that as it may, IMO the all-time greatest Stranger cover was the Dina Martina "immaculate convection" from 2002:

People need to stay the eff home!
Some of us need to have surgeries done for fucks sake!
The only thing I can do is keep my fingers crossed that my surgery scheduled for DEC 18th doesn't get cancelled because so many people are being stupid and reckless.
