"The attacks [from Organized Crime] range from physical disruptions of supply chain networks to online disinformation campaigns peddling fake cures for profit."

ah. look no Further for Fake 'prez's' future Career as a grifter for he will have Found his new Calling: peddling the Fakest of Cures. I can already see Ivanta in a swimsuit with a trumpfs Magic Potions t-shirt (just barely clinging) on...

@Bessie -- hmmm. going for the Humor contingent...
def a step up.

I Kinda like it.

Republicans wanting to "Defend the Constitution" is so last decade, "Suspend the Constitution!" is the new hotness.

6

@5:

Most of them seem like Constitution belt AND suspenders types...

It's great that the Amazon delivery guy saved someone from a fire, but the score is still a little lopsided if you count how many people have been killed by Amazon delivery trucks. BTW, good luck getting that number since most of them are classified as independent contractors to shield Bezos from liability.

9

I’m getting a mixed message here. There’s a plea to stop hurting animals and a description of a pigeon as “sexy” and “majestic.” Didn’t Dan cover that animals are incapable of consent?

10

@7 Maybe Republicans also want to take belt to the Constitution?

12

@5,

My favorite was when all the REAL PATRIOTTIC CONGRESPEPLE would carry around a pocket version as a prop to make them look smart and try to use it to justify their asinine positions. Does anyone still do that? I honestly can't fathom why Trump wouldn't.

14

Big pharma is organized crime so warning that organized crime will try to steal the vaccine is, um, redundant?

15

@9- he may have said they were incapable of consent but that only covers “sexy” and not “majestic.” Our dogs at least believe that they are plenty capable of governing in a majestic manner.

And good thing Flynn was not pre-emptively pardoned for treason. Might be a rope waiting for him at Ft. Leavenworth.

16

Btw when is the herpes troll going to show up with a broken-English anecdote about being cured of COVID by Dr. Nelson Muntz or whatever his name is?

17

@8: Yes, we shouldn't have even an anecdote of positive news about Amazon. Thank you for being diligent and freeing xina to provide her commentary on other matters.

18

@15 Majestic is just part of the flattery to get the poor bird to lower its guard before getting coitioned to death

And I was just reading this:

Workers Risking the COVID-19 Outbreak at Amazon’s Troutdale Warehouse Signed a Strict Confidentiality Agreement

Nondisclosure agreements are rare for warehouse workers. And this one is unusually stringent.

Amazon workplaces in Oregon have generated 54 COVID-related complaints from employees to Oregon Occupational Safety and Health since March. Those complaints triggered two Oregon OSHA inspections: one in Salem that concluded in August and did not result in a citation, and another at its Troutdale warehouse that began in late September and is still ongoing.

@ 14

Too true, unfortunately for all of us.

Our e-leets have shown with impunity over the last few decades that there’s no line at all between corporations, government, and organized crime.

Only the titles of our apex-predator oligarchs change.

21

@20: Yeah, sure, let's get some of that black-market hippie made covid-19 vaccine and shove it into our own veins when we want to. That'll show 'em!
