The museums are getting their backsides kicked along with everyone else in this COVID-19 debacle, and if they have some surplus art to sell they should go for it to pay the power bill, just the same way a homeowner would sell an extra vehicle or item of value to make the mortgage payment. There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying the tranquility of the museum on a rainy Sunday like today. They’re like safe spaces where people who think, feel and care can hide from Republicans and Trump-McConnell.
