"All animals are equal but some are more equal than others"-George Orwell's "Animal farm"

4

Are you white?

Are you rich?

Are you not wearing F*C* THE P*LICE or all black clothing while being in public?

Then you're fine.

The police are there to destroy your rights for the Reich.

5

It seems the people who consistently fight with the police, threaten P&R workers, dump trash around the park, and build barricades are treated differently than those who just go to walk their dog. Oh, the injustice!

7

5 for the win! Nuance seems to be a challenging concept for many in 2020.

8

Nathalie: Why does the person that spits in the face of a cop and the people breaking into the shelter house and spray painting hate speech get arrested but somebody walking a dog or playing in the snow is not? How is this equitable? It is so confusing.

9

So, if you camp in the park for months, leave trash everywhere, build illegal barriers, and threaten Parks workers, you will receive three days' written, posted notice to leave. If you stay past the written & posted date, you'll get arrested. If you play soccer once and refuse to leave after a verbal warning, you can be arrested on the spot.

Yes, there is an inequality here. The inequality sign just happens to be pointing in the diametrically opposite direction from the direction The Stranger keeps hinting it does.

Youā€™ve got to be kidding me. ā€œWho is not allowed in the park?ā€ Anyone who threatens violence, intimidation, or appears to be looking for a fight, or smoking crack in public, and generally not allowing the park to be a public and inclusive space. Pretty simple. It is a disservice to a legitimate movement to allow any association with the junkies and Instagram ā€œinfluencersā€ that were set up in the park. BLM needs to make an official announcement disassociating themselves so there is no confusion. If these ā€œactivistsā€ truly cared about the homeless, they would be getting them indoors. Instead they have spent the past 48hrs cozy at home creating soccer logos, watching the Mandalorian, and occasionally venturing out to create Instagram content for their feeds šŸ˜‚
These fake ā€œactivistsā€ give antifascists a bad name and are de-legitimizing BLM from the inside-out. They have zero to do with what happened this past summer. The only thing they do is create sympathy for the police. Itā€™s not a coincidence they are largely recently-woke white kids living their parentsā€™ basements. They are starving to feel like they have purpose in life. Itā€™s what entitlement and privilege looks like in 2020.

11

Also somebody PLEASE explain to the kids how problematic it is to equate black clothing with black skin. Go backs to school, morons.

Comments here bringing new life to the old "lawn order" joke, good show lads.

And for heaven's sake, playing dumb has been Nathalie's schtick since the day she was hired, are you chuds really so dim that you've never picked up on it?

13

Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between The Stranger and The Onion.

14

wtf? I thought this WAS the Onion.

Balls.
