Shorter version: if you don't mask up, wash your hands, and physically distance, and don't get vaccines, everything you want like restaurant dining, movies, fast food ballpits, and dance parties won't happen.

It's on you.

Now, wear your masks, wash your hands, physically distance, and get your vaccine shots.

If you don't want your vaccine shots, Puget Sound will take them gladly, cause we are the Science Region. And will at some point be our own US State.

Oh, and we just won the Senate, so ...

@1 Will in Seattle: I have really sad news. I'm not sure we can rejoice about a Senate victory in Georgia. Commenter xina has a disappointing update in another comment thread. :(

4

@3 you'll see.

You guys are so unable to see numbers.

Do these new rules have any impact on the super spreader events happening at the Steven’s Pass slopes, as noted in Post Alley (dot org)?

Great news about the reopening in conjunction with the reawakening of America under a new, progressive administration, with Trump getting his just desserts, à la Mussolini, and the the thought of a vaccine—one shot in each cheek, please, on the double!

@4 Will in Seattle: Polls can be misleading. I want to know for sure. I have read, knowing full well NOT to trust FOX TeeVee or any other willfully RepubliKKKan-leaning media, that the Senate runoff race in Georgia is still too close to call. I'll be toasting red wine by the case upon official news that Georgia flipped the Senate and Moscow Mooch McDumbbell's life is suddenly just as miserable as Trumpty Dumpty's.
Let's not waste a dime of hard-earned taxpayer money to send all this vile RepubliKKKan shit to prison. I say, off with their heads!

Just knowing King county is almost the same color as far eastern WA should be enough to make you wash your hands (and throw ups little).

Bloodthirsty alcoholics are the worst.

First....Biden is not a progressive. Second, a 50/50 + 1 is not going to get a progressive agenda through...Third, That reopening list looks the same as all of the "other" ones, Forth I didn't need to be told for the fucking 1000000 time how to stay safe...And lastly a pre-emptive FU to Will, auntie, polly and raindrop....just because.

So with Washington State infections at an all-time high, the governor's plan is to...re-open gyms and restaurants as soon as possible?

Gotta save those businesses, I guess! How is this any different from those Republicans who say old people should be happy to die in order to save the economy?

@11:

Restaurants in Phase I regions would only be able to open at 25% of indoor capacity and gyms at one person per 500 square feet (that would be equivalent to a space a little over 22 feet on a side, and is clearly meant to prohibit group classes), so my guess is for many that wouldn't provide enough capacity to make it worth their while and they'll stay closed until their region makes it to Phase II.

Or they'll try to flout the directive like a few have previously - with the same consequences: heavy fines, suspensions of licenses and more people contracting the virus.
