Nice to see thought-provoking character studies of important black leaders in a challenging dramatic format such as this. The scenario is a necessary contrivance to bring these heavyweights forth to the present political-racial conversation, and a welcome antidote to the white Christian goddess superhero films like “Wonder Woman”. Thankfully Jim Brown and Sam Cooke get their well-deserved recognition as role models and thought-leaders alongside the fiery Malcolm X and Cassius Clay. A poignant statement on this all-important MLK Day and the flushing of Trump.
It was hard to watch. They showed a "dumb downed" version of Malcolm... He was too brilliant for the simple conversation had in the movie.
