Riz Rollins is THE Seattle treasure. I have loved that man's spirit and creations since the mid-90s when he wrote a column -- Paradise w/Riz Rollins -- in The Stranger (still hoping for a collected book of those columns), DJ'ed at ReBar and all the other things. Riz can do no wrong in my book. And his last two quotes in this piece highlight that.
