Being pro-rape is in the official GOP policy platform. They have a big tent - it's not just racists. They welcome abhorrent creatures with many other deep and dangerous character flaws too.

@1: There's no such thing as an "official GOP policy platform". There's a party platform, but there's nothing about rape.

Electing a rapist as president is a great way to show you're opposed to rape. Republicans are anti-choice, often even in cases of rape. That is a policy position. And listening to years of tone deaf conservative lawmakers playing down the seriousness of rape is also something that can be easily found on record.

Go away you rape supporting troglodyte.

Thank you for writing about this, Rich. I tried writing representatives when I first heard about it, but got no response from Braun (unsurprising) & the only response from Pedersen was that the appointment was Braun's sole discretion. The commission comes w/ an $80k compensation & I'll be damned if Fain pockets any of my tax dollars without an investigation & accountability process.

@2:

You've posted some really stupid, ignorant comments over the years, but this one is a corker - have you just mentally flat-lined completely? If so, do the world a favor and pull the plug on your social media accounts now, before you attain a complete vegetative state and no longer have use of your extremities.

'...suggested that the lack of a "proper investigation" into a 2018 rape allegation against Fain...'

Let's rectify that immediately. Statute of limitations on rape in D.C. is fifteen years, so Faber can simply file a criminal complaint there, right? I mean, we can all agree a rapist belongs in jail, correct?

'Faber ... said she had no interest in pressing charges against Fain ... [b]ecause we can't jail them all."'

Ms. Faber and I simply must agree to disagree on this. I believe we can, indeed, jail them all. In fact, I believe this so strongly, most of the reason I even want courts and jails is to "jail them all." So, Ms. Faber, please file your criminal complaint in D.C., and get us acting on that investigation you claim to want so much. Seeing another rapist thrown in jail would be a fine outcome indeed, but it can happen only if you act.
