The fascists are simply more united than the democrats. That, and it's a lot easier to NOT do anything than to pass legislation. Turtle spent most of his time sitting on his hands as bills piled up on his desk. The only stuff they got was through reconciliation and they used theirs, of course, on tax cuts for the wealthy.

The fascist party will all unanimously vote against everything sent to them. So anyone who expects anything to be done other than through the few reconciliation efforts the dems have is naïve.

I would normally say the democrats were foolish to make the promises they did ($2000 checks! $15 minimum wage! Canceling student debt!) but they have to promise that stuff because the American voters are so unimaginably stupid and misinformed that they can't tell them the truth of how government actually works.
