I too wanted to hear more about the experiences of the potters, other than just a list of accusations, but a link an Instagram post of a partial image of hand-written letter by one of the accusers doesn't exactly equate to reporting on the matter, Jasmyne.

Somehow read the line in the weather update about the colorful sunrise with vesticular clouds as "nurse with testicular clods."

I was briefly confused. But also oddly intrigued.

@2 mike blob: Lenticular, as in shaped like a lentil, or a double convex lens.
btw I watched "The Blob" yesterday on KVOS. One of my childhood favorite films.

Not sure what to make of the Pottery Northwest controversy, but while we're on the subject of pottery, can we all agree that the scene from "Ghost" with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze was non-consensual?

@3,

I pretty recently watched it too! Real easy to find the whole thing online. Gotta say I was...... Pretty unimpressed!

Needlessly and interminably long scenes that don't go anywhere or otherwise advance the plot, abrupt introduction of seemingly important characters that don't ever re-appear, hastily abandoned plotlines, even the special effects were kind of a disappointment in that they were neither especially good for the time, but also not bad enough to qualify for the "so bad they're good" designation.

Highly recommended.

Also, in looking for that link, I discovered there was a 1972 sequel. I had no idea! It's also streamable! ! Can't wait to check it out...

"...turn around the idea that pottery is just for rich white people."

Where on earth would anyone get the idea that (fill in blank with specific medium) is just for rich white people? I am asking in complete sincerity. I will concede that classes/studio fees may be exorbitant - is that why? Are POC's unable to do what I just did - Google "pottery classes in Seattle" - with Pottery Northwest as one of the first listed? Really????

@8 - Best to check the if there is a source before advising to go straight to the source.
