No.

I am not giving Amazon my palm print. Or any of my fingerprints. Or an iris scan. Fuck that. They'll no doubt try to monetize it. Or some hacker will eventually hack it, and steal everyone's palm print info like they currently steal credit card info. This is madness.

Man, I would have loved to have heard the "Chinese covid space laser" rant coming from the shotgun-wielding trailer-dweller after learning of space debris on their property.

The palm images are not stored locally, they are encrypted before transfer to Amazon servers, and stored in a proprietary system. Hardly seems intrusive and nobody is forcing you into it.

Hardly the all-seeing eyescanners of "Minority Report" some of you drama queens would make it out to be. I swear, whenever Bezos or Amazon are mentioned in a story some of y'all turn into that shotgun-wielding guy ranting about conspiracies. It's ironic that Amazon got the rights to a bunch of Philip K Dick stuff seeing how a bunch of people probably think Amazon will eventually turn into "autofac" and doom us all.

Please wait...

and remember to be decent to everyone
all of the time.
