June weather is pretty unpredictable in Seattle, it could be 90F or it could pour rain. Neither the parade route nor the Seattle Center offer much respite from such conditions. It probably also didn't help that the main event was moved out of what used to be Seattle's gay neighborhood. Those are my speculations.
