Pauline Kael wrote that friendships can be made, and lost, over reactions to movies. It's true. (A longtime buddy once told me he didn't think 'Repo Man' was funny. Things were never the same between us.)

I'm sorry Mr. Kennedy is gone. I'm glad he was your friend.
