The 'something to happen' is, of course, misfortune and or death. But being a 'balance' is a moot point because it is vengeance just the same.

Being mad at injustice is natural. Expressing it is natural. But continuously cultivating the rage into violent cartoon fantasies as if it were a remedy might be entertaining and amusing, even cathartic I suppose, but ultimately unsatisfying as the injustices and problems of the world are still there and getting worse. So she intensifies the imagery into more and more bloodthirsty fantasies to compensate.

But, that's her style and prerogative as a Slog commenter. For her sake, I hope she finds peace and learns how devastating ruminating anger can be on the soul and find better ways to release its pressure.
