First our city government is slow and inept at getting rental assistance out to those who need it.

Second, golly, lots of jobs out there...have any of those deserving rental assistance cases considered working?

Third, time to let landlords begin evictions.... lets see if that isn't motivational or will get some of the deserving cases to consider getting a job and paying rent.

I know its old fashioned, its painful, its just crazy...but it does work.

If all prisoners and personnel are vaxxed it really doesn't matter whether they are testing positive. The data continues to show that omicron is fairly mild for vaxxed individuals. We should begin to focus on hospitalizations and deaths vs positive cases when we are making decisions regarding shut downs and further restrictions.

Regarding rent relief. I have no doubt most people worked the best they could during Covid and through no fault of their own fell behind on rent however expecting landlords to absorb those losses is not the solution. The whole thing is going to be a mess when the bill eventually comes due. We shouldn't pretend there weren't some people who took advantage of the situation (cough Andrew Houston) to use money for other things.

Does anyone know where to find N-95 masks? I am fully vaccinated and had my Pfizer booster the day after Thanksgiving, 2021. I can't find any store in Bellingham that has any stocked. Meanwhile, there are plenty of thin surgical ones. I am just concerned about wearing cloth masks as the CDC has recently discouraged use of them, largely due to Omicron being so highly contagious.
