It is a hellish intersection... Not much else to say except I agree. Even driving around there sucks. Just a shitty two blocks for navigating. Used to live right next to it and hated walking there. Just here to commiserate I guess.

You've touched on Seattle's inherent schizophrenia. Jaywalking is a crime, but legal pedestrian crossing is a minefield. It's a "progressive" town, with the most regressive tax structure in the nation. Starting to see the root issue? Follow the money. Just like the politicians around here: Talk the progressive talk, walk the big-money walk.

Walking is for losers. Cycling is for people who can't afford a car. Everyone not encased in at least 3,000 pounds of glass and steel should be grateful they're not already dead.
