Strange that while Seattle’s ruling oligarch class loathes and despises the homeless, they sure are excited to create lots more of them.

3

1 - Don't conflate hating homelessness as hating the homeless.

4

@ 3, Hate the sin, not the sinner, huh.

5

It's not a sin.

8

@7 Next time include something about obama phones in your rant.

@10

Impotent and ignorant rage is what fuels them every day. Often to the detriment of their own self interest.

12

Love Bosco's face shield. If I was going to stand in line to get served coffee from a drag queen, I'd sure want to see her face!

13

The moment any internet commenter utilizes the Hannity/GOP pipeline workshopped term “sleepy Joe” immediately disqualifies them from being taken remotely seriously.

14

@13 It's Trumpian Mad-Libs (aptly named since its purpose it to make liberals mad. But the "sleepy Joe" and "city Clowncil" tirade is so rote and trite now that it's easy to ignore.

RE Saget, dunno why they're so sure there's no foul play, and when they have no idea where he may have had an accident. Did they check his vehicle carefully to see if it was in an accident? Was he in any other vehicles in a given timeline? Did they carefully retrace his steps throughout a number of days, and literally inch by inch? And to see if he may have had such a fall somewhere? I'm not suggesting there necessarily "was" foul play, but I increasingly notice how lax police are in pursuing homicide investigations even when it's glaringly evident the person was murdere -- and the families in those cases are struggling to get the police to pursue a homicide investigation -- and they can't get them to do this. I increasingly see how many of these "unexplained deaths" go unsolved. I don't know if it's the police departments getting worse in their investigations or just that I'm following these stories more often, and the police have always been this bad at it. But I suspect that police depts are getting worse in this respect, and in the case of Saget, we'll never know further unless family members make noise about it.

16

@15 I'll add ... I find it disturbing, too, because it seems like, in the U.S., it seems like it's pretty easy to murder someone and get away with it. And because the police don't try very hard to solve anything.

17

@15/16: You suspect huh? Go by facts and wait for investigations to complete and give deference to the grieving family instead of rumor mongering. Good grief.

18

With wage levels low and rents so high - there you have it - that is much of the problem.

Everything taken from them and having to live out in the cold streets and yet some sneer.
Corporate landlords with corrupt politicians helped create this disaster.

Harrell is pretty much a copy of our previous mayor. In bed with the elite and out for their bottom line. Voters got played again. You failed the people in south Seattle and elsewhere
who knew what Harrell is. South Seattle refused to endorse him and you did not know why.

This is a city that has those with extreme wealth and many who have nothing yet some get upset when people speak up about it. The police are not the answer.

19

"Harrell is pretty much a copy of our previous mayor."

I wouldn't give Lorena Gonzales that much praise.

If you can’t afford to live in the city of Seattle there are plenty of other places to live. Why is this concept so difficult for some people. Do you bitch about not being able to own a Ferrari too?

"If you can’t afford to
live in the city of Seattle
there are plenty of other places to live."

if you can afford to be Homeless
in Seattle you can afford to be
Homeless Anywhere.

"Do you bitch about not being
able to own a Ferrari too?"

do you bitch about
not having the Healthcare*

*fucking
AFFORDABLE

@15 & @16 North American Jay Bird: Rest in peace, Bob Saget.
It's sad about his autopsy---multiple skull fractures from a severe blow to the head? When and how? And Orlando, Florida police don't suspect foul play? I'm left wondering what could have gotten covered up. The news said Saget was found dead in his hotel room. A lot of details are missing.

@1 & @4 Original Andrew, @18 Ivy R. Nightscales, and @21 kristofarian for the WIN!
