@2 None of the letter makes sense. Anon left seattle in 2010 (ish). The Easy closed in 1998 (it is now The Comet; I had to research this one), Aro.Space by 2006, Kurrent in 2010, and I only vaguely remember Blue (didn’t it become Barca Lounge?). In any case, if girlfriend didn’t know about half these closures and what they became, she was either drugged our of her mind for the better part of a decade or not in the scene for that period and is now having her midlife crisis.

@2 It's true there are rare ones submitted anonymously by staff, but they're nearly all from readers. Maybe... 5%? are internally submitted. You'll just have to trust us though because, you know, anonymous.

I do think a lot of the people sending in submissions take on an "I, Anonymous" tone or voice, which has a special... rambling... quality.
