I don't see how that door on Mars could have evolved naturally.

2

What was that about a tower selling for $730 million?

3

@2 Presumably Charles meant to blather on about the recent sale of 505 Madison.

5

@1 i think it's the place where things like elon musk come from

it does want to go there real bad. maybe just to return home?

7

@1 then you’ve spent much time near ancient rock formations or taken geology. There are thousands of terrestrial natural features that are right angled, seemingly straight lined, and look constructed.

I'm not a lizard, either, Charles, but FFS! Eight months of cold and shitty weather, from mid-September through May with no signs of warming up to the 70s is depressing as hell. And unlike you, I am a Washington native.
Will someone please wake me when we finally have spring weather?

Before higher resolution cameras, people also thought there was the face of a giant toppled statue on Mars, until it turns out it was just a mountain.

11

@4, my point might be hard for you to understand. I understand. Here it is: The basis for the Dying Seattle blather is baloney. Let's move on and deal with real issues. Know what I'm saying?

12

@11 Charles, Seattle is Dying was a made for TV piece of sensationalist reporting designed to garner attention. Anyone with two thoughts in their head recognized this and took it for what it was. Using it's overreach every time there is a bit of positive news to promote the notion that "everything is fine" is equally sensationalistic. Again, most of us can look around and see everything is not fine so while Seattle may not be dying it certainly isn't thriving.

14

@11 is correct, and @12 is in denial

15

yeah Chas
how Dare you
move the Conversation
Leftward. in the Center if you Please

that's what your Readership Wants
or for you to Retire already
according to tS's Com-
mentariat who schtick
around no matter
What apparently

that's a Lotta
pro bonos

17

@12 denial about what? You honestly think the current state of downtown is completely normal and any reports of crime / socials ills is much ado about nothing? If that's the case I can only conclude you either haven't been there in a long time and/or are so insulated in your idealogical bubble you literally can't see the forest through the trees.

18

OMG. this guy has been screeching Seattle is Dying for three years. Now suddenly he's like "Anyone with two thoughts in their head recognized this and took it for what it was."?

You didn't.

19

@18 no it’s more like any of us who dared to point out the growing issues with homeless and lawlessness were labeled as such by you and your gaslighting crew of progressive stalwarts. More of your strategy to dehumanize people you don’t agree with it to make it easier to dismiss them. Why don’t you turn your comment filter back on?

20

Shorter @19:

"I"M THE REAL VICTIM HERE!"

"Gaslighting" my shiny metal ass...

21

@20 didn’t say that either but it’s nice to see the Professors literal sock puppet chiming in lol

22

@21: You literally referred to being "dehumanized" simply because people disagree with you. You crybaby.

23

Downtown Seattle is still dying.

24

@23 since 2016 or so, right?

25

@16 That's some pretty hateful stuff as a response to finding out one street in one park will no longer allow private vehicle access—a street that engineers determined cars pose a specific threat too. Maybe take a step back and remember the other 99.9% of the paved world is still yours.
