Dan, what you're looking at is an installation by North Carolina-based artist Patrick Dougherty, he who set a tornado of huge stick vessels in the pools at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma in 2002.

The best thing about them came when the sticks started to rot in the water. The pitchers buckled; signs went up that you could no longer go inside them. (I thought you should be allowed to take your chances.) I was rooting for them to go AWOL and fall, but they were taken down the traditional way.
