We've got an infestation of poets in Seattle tonight, as well as a book about gardening with bulbs, a mystery about a cop who hates his partner and a corpse with a Satanic star carved into its torso, and a history of how some explorers got out here.

Besides that, we have Sibyl James reading from Pistols and Hearts, a collection of poetry about daily life in Mexico, at Ravenna Third Place tonight. AND we have Allen Braden, Kevin Miller, and Derek Sheffield reading new work at Elliott Bay Book Company. AND Pilot Books is hosting a collection of poets from Rose Alley Press tonight, including Belle Randall, Victoria Ford, Kristen McHenry and Joannie K. Stangeland. Any of these three events look good, if you're into poetry. If you're not into poetry, bulbous things, history, or mysteries, you're out of luck tonight.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
