The headline of this post, "Amazon Loses E-Book Pricing War," jumps the gun in a huge way. Though Apple has won the battle by letting publishers set the prices of their e-books on the iPad, the war is nowhere near over. I'm curious to see how sales at the iBookstore go, and how Kindle book sales go, when e-books are priced at $14.99 instead of $9.99 as a rule. If nobody buys the books, nobody wins the war.
