- "Hello, Neighbor!"
In far less beautiful news, early Wednesday evening, April 7, a 19-year-old woman was forced into a car and driven to an apartment in West Seattle where she was physically assaulted and robbed, reports Central District News. The 33-year-old suspect, a cab driver, also allegedly attempted to sexually assault her but was unsuccessful because the victim was able to escape, call police, and he was arrested. In more violence from Central District News, the young man convicted in the 2008 group beating-and-murder of Seattle’s iconic Tuba Man has been charged with robbery at the Garfield Teen Life Center. And in one more piece of news about fucked-up teen mob mentality: Two and a half months after an Alki woman was beaten unconscious in Tukwila while on the job as a Metro bus driver, one member in the group of attackers, a 14-year-old, is pleading guilty. The sentencing is set for 9:30 a.m. next Monday morning, April 12, and Metro drivers in uniform are encouraged to show up as a show of support.
