We have a poetry reading at Town Hall and two other events today.

Katharine Whitcomb, Nancy Pagh, and Holly J Hughes will read at Open Books today. The authors are winners of the annual Floating Bridge Press Poetry Chapbook Award. I bet at least one loser of the annual Floating Bridge Press Poetry Chapbook Award will be sitting in the audience, wishing they were talking about how good it felt to win the Floating Bridge Press Poetry Chapbook Award.

If poetry isn't your thing, Howard Frank Mosher reads at Queen Anne Books today. Mosher will read from his Civil War novel Walking in Gatlinburg, and he will also present a slide show.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
