Paul already mentioned this, but it deserves its own post: The staff of the Seattle Times today won a Pulitzer for their breaking news coverage of the Lakewood police shootings and the hunt for Maurice Clemmons.

It's a well deserved honor—the Times coverage of the event was fast, relentless, thorough, and available in just about every medium in real time. It's also notable for the fact that as recently as February, the paper was still trying to convince people that it would survive. Winning an award like this is always impressive, but it's even more impressive given those circumstances.
