We have an informed gardener, a discussion about The New Jim Crow, a couple open mics, and two readings I'm going to talk about right now.

Gregg Olsen reads at Third Place Books tonight. A Twisted Faith is a true crime book about "a philandering minister convicted of killing his wife and burning down their home near Bainbridge Island the day after Christmas, 1997." I don't know about you, but I'm totally sold.

And Town Hall is hosting David Goodstein. He is the author of On Fact and Fraud: Cautionary Tales from the Front Lines of Science, a book that talks about the fraudulent, seamy side of science.

Either of these readings would make a great reading of the night.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
