Four readings tonight. Isobel Coleman reads at Town Hall. Paradise Beneath Her Feet is subtitled How Women are Transforming the Middle East. Robin Oliveira reads at the U Village Barnes & Noble. My Name is Mary Sutter is a novel "about a young woman's struggle to become a doctor during the Civil War."

Belle Yang reads at Elliott Bay Book Company. Forget Sorrow: An Ancestral Tale is a memoir in the form of a comic book. This is one of those really obvious "If you liked Persepolis..." kind of books.

And Charles de Lint reads at University Book Store tonight. He is a marvelous author who has written some fantastic fantasy novels. You should be warned, however, that he may be singing folk music at this reading. This could be incredibly uncomfortable.

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
