Nightclub owner Quentin Ertel, Cafe Juanita's amazing chef Holly Smith, and contractor Eric Hentz are opening a restaurant and brewery at the corner of 10th Avenue and Pike Street. Ertel, whose other businesses include The Saint and Havana (both designed and built by Hentz), expects the business to open in about eight months; currently the landlord and the city are negotiating a seismic upgrade.

This new business (no confirmed name yet) is not an expansion of Havana, which is right next door; they will be separate. Considering it will include an on-site brewery, Ertel says the plan is for something "beer-centric" and "completely different than anything in the neighborhood right now." It will be open seven nights a week, "maybe lunch, maybe brunch," he says.
