Towleroad reports:

A protest is scheduled for tomorrow in NYC at the Malawian Consulate, 866 United Nations Plaza, in support of Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga, the couple who were recently sentenced to 14 years in prison with hard labor for holding an engagement ceremony in late December.

I can't organize a protest for these guys, but I'd help get the word out. And I sure as hell would show up for it. I think a lot of people would. Including elected and other local leaders. Any gay activists—like the ones without the socialist banners and the shrill speakers—out there got something in the works?
