There's a new sex columnist in town...

Look out, Dan Savage. Your new competition in the sex advice business is a middle-aged, married, straight dude who used to spend $200,000 a year on steroids. Bill Romanowski, the same Bill Romanowski who played linebacker for six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and two years with the Oakland Raiders, has published a sex column on Yahoo's Associated Content site.... Disregarding the question of whether an admitted longtime steroids user still even has any functioning equipment at this point, Romanowki has been married for 16 years. People who have been married for 16 years—do you guys still have enough sex that you think you could write a column about it?

In defense of sex-columnists in a long-term relationships (ahem): anyone who's been with the same person for more than a dozen years is probably doing something right in the whole sex-and-relationship department. And professional athletes in seemingly successful long-term relationships are rarer than professional athletes who haven't used steroids. So Romanowski just might have some valuable insights to share. Sadly none made it into his first sex column.
