For all eight of you who keep track of hirings and firings in the Seattle theater world:

Last fall, Giant Magnet (née Seattle International Children's Festival) fired Andrea Wagner, the festival's longtime and popular director, for reasons neither the board nor Wagner could explain. Then they hired Marilyn Raichle, who founded the children's festival and went on to burn a nonprofit called Foolproof to the ground (and sounded a little crazy when she tried to explain what happened), as interim director. Raichle has now been permanently hired as the new director of Giant Magnet.
