1. Of the two new shows at SAM—a series of photos and videos by Warhol, and a series of contemporary responses to the life and death of Kurt Cobain—the Warhol is the sleeper hit. You'd think Warhol works would feel washed up and tired in comparison to what's been made in the last five years, but this particular lineup of Warhol works is surprising and rich. The curator who selected them is Marisa C. Sanchez, and she's going to talk tonight at 5 at Hotel 1000 near the museum. Admission is free, hors d'oeuvres are free, and glasses of wine are only three bucks.
