Joshua Braff reads at Elliott Bay Book Company tonight. Braff, who is the brother of Zach Braff, will read from Peep Show, a debut novel about a family in the 1970s.

Third Place Books hosts Jeanne Matthews tonight. Bones of Contention is a mystery with "mythological overtones [and] crocodiles." SPOILER WARNING: If the victim dies of teeth marks, the crocodiles did it. If the victim dies of lightning, it was probably the gods who did it.

Speaking of fantastic things, Lisa Mantchev will be appearing at University Book Store tonight. Mantchev writes fantasy, with her newest book bearing the unfortunate title of Perchance to Dream (Theatre Illuminata #2).

The full readings calendar, including the next week or so, is here. And if you're planning on staying in and you're looking for personalized book recommendations, feel free to tell me the books you like and ask me what to read next over at Questionland.
